Back To School Bash

Over the last few months, Soul Food has prepared for its first annual Back to School Bash.

This year, Soul Food hosted the Back to School Bash at a Dallas community pool and recreation center where we provided school supplies for over 200 kids in the community. So much went into this event through the months of preparation and we would like to thank our consistent supporters who helped make this event happen.

With inflation on the rise, it is no secret that prices are rising and school supplies are no exception. Our goal with our back to school event was to help families in need of school supplies and also element teachers having to come out-of-pocket for their students supply shortages. We began planning for this event in May, with the goal of reaching at least 50 students. We are proud to say that we were able to provide supplies for over 200 Dallas ISD students from grades K-12; over 75 people were in attendance at the Back to School Bash where we also provided a meal and prayer for each family in attendance.

See below some highlights from the event.
